Abstract

423,482. Liquid - fuel burners. CERMAK, W., 68, Wichtelgasse, Vienna. July 3, 1934, No. 19578. Convention date, July 7, 1933. [Class 75 (i)] A liquid-fuel atomizing burner of the type in which fuel dropping from a lip 5 is atomized by a jet of compressed air or steam, discharged from an orifice 9 is arranged within two coaxial cylinders 10, 11, the outer cylinder being formed with a wide opening 12 regulable by a sliding member 14 and the inner cylinder being formed with a number of slots 13 allowing air entering through the opening 12 to pass to the flame. The lip 5 is formed on a open pan-shaped receiver 3 to which the fuel is delivered through a valve-controlled pipe 1. The orifice 9 is at the end of a pipe 8 fitted with a control valve 7.
