Abstract
193,859. LinkÚ, C. Feb. 23, 1922, [Convention date]. Spray, blowpipe, and pluverulent fuel burners -Relates to a burner for use with liquid and gaseous fuels either separately, together, or in conjunction with pulverized fuel. A wedgeshaped nozzle 4 connected to a compressed air supply pipe is arranged within a casing 1. Gas may be admitted through openings 2 and liquid fuel through an opening 17 to the chamber 3 on the casing 1. The compressed air escaping from the nozzle induces a flow of fuel from two outlets 6 between the nozzle and casing and of secondary air through two openings 15, 15<1>. The opening 15 is extended to form a tube 21 through which pulverized solid fuel may be introduced. The escape of compressed air is regulated by means of resilient strips 8, 9, carried by a support 10 and displaceable by means of a cam 11. The cam may be fitted with a projecting-blade so that the strip 8 may be moved to close the upper channel between the support 10 and the nozzle while leaving the lower channel open.
