Abstract

473,096. Liquid-fuel burners. SAACKE OELFEUERUNGSGES., C. July 15, 1936, No. 19665. Convention date, Aug. 1, 1935. [Class 75 (i)] In a rotary oil burner comprising double or multiple atomizing cups 3, 2 supplied with oil through a pipe 4 and with air through the space between internal and external casings 12, 1, air is admitted through apertures 8 in the casing 12 regulatable by an adjustable slide valve 9 to the space between the cups at a low pressure sufficient to carry forward the finely atomized oil thrown off from the edge of the inner cup but. allowing the larger drops to pass for atomization by the outer cup or cups. Additional air may be supplied to the inner cup through an annular passage 7 communicating with a central tube 5. The air supplied may suitably be the exhaust from an air turbine rotating the cups.
