Abstract
421,497. Pumps for concrete and the like. KAISER, O., 62, Kohlenstrasse, St. Ingbert, Saar Territory. Nov. 22, 1933, No. 32647. [Class 102 (i)] The valve mechanism of a concrete &c. pump is adapted to break stones tending to obstruct the valve movement. A single plate valve 9 may control both inlet 11 and discharge 14 of the pump, or separate plate valves may be employed. Alternatively an oscillating valve 21 may control the inlet and discharge the valve and casing being provided with hardened liners 31, 33. The rotary valve is operated by a rack which may be driven by a pin and slotted liner mechanism from the crank shaft to provide lost motion. The lost motion may be provided between abutments 29, 30 on a slide member 26 carrying the rack.
