Abstract

Divided out of and addition to 443,760 under which a Specification was laid open to inspection Feb. 18, 1936. [Class 80 (iii)] [See also Group XXVI] Relates to variablethrow eccentrics, as described in the parent Specification, in which an eccentric 5 is rotatable on a crank 4 by means of a vane 7 on the eccentric, movable in a casing 8 on the shaft by means of fluid pressure admitted through a port 14, controlled by a valve 12. According to the invention the spring acting on the valve 12 is dispensed with, and a stem on the valve carries a piston 20, the centrifugal action of which tends to keep the valve 12 in its inner or closed: position. A passage 21 connects the two sides of the piston 20.
