Abstract

520,171. Air compressors. BROOM & WADE, Ltd., and SMITH, C. B. Oct. 14, 1938, No. 29834. [Class 8(i)] Unloading means for air compressors comprises a tappet-actuated inlet valve 7 in which the actuating rocker is eccentrically mounted, the eccentric being adjustable by a lever 20 which is actuated by a rod 22 coacting with a control piston 23 operated by a hand wheel 28 or by the air under pressure entering by a pipe 25. An automatic outlet plate valve 6 is provided. The unloading means may be applied to multi-stage compressors.
