Class 69 (2) In hydraulic system for actuating a vehicle hood an intensifier a and a non-return valve f are connected in parallel between the pump connection g and the jack connection h and the intensifier piston carries a valve i seating on the inlet connection k and loaded by a spring j so that at a given pressure the valve i opens to cause the intensifier to operate. The non-return valve f has electromagnetic or other means for moving the closure member to its open position and the intensifier piston is then returned by a spring e.
