Abstract
741,134. Hydraulic control systems. SMITH'S JACKING SYSTEMS, Ltd. March 4, 1954 [March 9, 1953; Aug. 6, 1953], Nos. 6439/53 and 21742/53. Class 69 (2). In a hydraulic system for actuating vehicle hoods and windows, jacks 10, 11, 12 are arranged in parallel, the ends of the jack cylinders through which piston rods 114 pass being permanently connected to a duct 19 to which liquid under pressure is delivered by a pump 16. The opposite ends of the cylinders are connected by pipes, in which solenoid valves 42, 43, 32 are situated, to a duct 34 which may either be supplied with liquid through a solenoid valve 30 or open to exhaust through a solenoid valve 31. Jacks 10, 11 operate the vehicle windows, and a jack 13 is arranged in parallel with jack 12, jacks 12, 13 operating the hood.
