Abstract

558,611. Relief valves. VINCO CORPORATION, Dec. 7, 1942, No. 17393. Convention date, Oct. 9, 1941. [Class 135] A pressure relief valve, particularly adapted for use in a pump byepass circuit to maintain the pump outlet pressure constant comprises a balanced piston valve 14, 17 actuated by a piston 19 subject to inlet pressure admitted through a passage 29 fitted with a manually adjustable throttle 25. The control land of the piston valve has a serrated control edge 15. The valve is loaded towards its closed position by a spring 12 bearing against an abutment 9 adjustable by a screw 10 secured by a lock nut 11.
