Abstract

386,250. Diaphragm pumps. AVIGDOR, R., 102, Bergmannstrasse, Berlin. July 18, 1932, No. 20344. [Class 102 (i).] In fuel pumps of the diaphragm type a bearing plate or ring for the diaphragm spring is rotatably arranged in a screwed thread in the pump casing so that the spring pressure may be adjusted. The pump shaft 1 operates through eccentrics and straps 4 upon diaphragms 7. These are carried by a casing which is closed by end members 10 carrying the inlet and outlet valves which are of light conical form. The springs 8 which effect the return stroke of the diaphragms are carried by screw rings 9 which are adjustably mounted in screws on the inner surfaces of the casing 17.
