420,767. Transformers. WATSON, H. R., 33, Effra Road, GILSON, R. F., and GILSON, R. B., 6, Lancaster Road, both in Wimbledon, London. Sept. 11, 1933, No. 25072. [Class 38 (ii)] In a transformer which is regulated by a movable magnetic shunt, the latter comprises a laminated bar split diagonally and associated with means for displacing the parts 9, 12 whereby the bar may be wedged in adjusted position within a shell 6 located between the core limbs, and between the primary and secondary windings 2, 3. The means for displacing the shunt parts comprises a screwed rod 15 engaging a member 13 containing the parts, the rod being adapted to project outside the transformer casing. An additional fixed magnetic shunt 8 is provided to afford an additional fixed amount of leakage flux.
