[Class 38 (ii).] A low -frequency interval v e coupling transformer comprises primary and secondary windings arranged on fixed core parts f separated by an air gap in which a magnetic bridging member a is movably mounted. The member a may be displaced laterally by a screw as shown, or swung or turned so as to vary the effective air gap and consequently the mutual inductance between the windings.
