Abstract
438,289. Transformers. FERRANTI, Ltd., and NORRIS, E. D. T., Hollinwood, Lancashire. Oct. 31, 1934, No. 31212. [Class 38 (ii)] In short-circuited moving-coil type of voltage regulating transformers, additional return core paths are provided for the flux that leaks out at the side faces of the core. As shown in Fig. 4, additional flux paths k, h are provided to the main core m, d. The laminations forming the centre core are graded to be approximately circular in crosssection. In the modification shown in Fig. 6, only one side flux path, o, q is provided. Specifications 340,538, 341,903, 368,142, 368,592, and 372,493 are referred to.
