Abstract
417,416. Vapour burners. IPOLD, V., 7, Hardtgasse, Vienna, and TECHNIK & INVESTMENT AKT.-GES., Vaduz, Liechtenstein. Sept. 18, 1933, No. 25827. Convention date, Sept. 16, 1932. Addition to 387,587. [Class 75 (i).] In a vapour burner as described in the parent Specification, the spindle 23 of the nipple regulator is connected by a Geneva cross mechanism with the spindle 18 of the valve controlling the supply of liquid fuel to the vaporizer so that the nipple regulator cannot be operated until the liquid fuel valve has been opened. A disc 38, secured to the spindle 23, is provided with slots 44, 43 adapted to be engaged in succession by a pin 40 on a disc 39 secured to the spindle 18, a recess 42 allowing for rotation of the disc 38. At starting, the liquid fuel valve is opened by turning the handwheel 17 anti-clockwise. During the initial movement the disc 38 remains at rest until the pin 40 engages the slot 44 to rotate the disc 38 up to 90‹ into the position shown thereby moving the nipple regulator towards the closed position. On further rotation of the handwheel, the pin 40 engages the slot 43 to rotate the disc 38 up to a further 90‹ when the edge 38<1> is brought into the path of the pin to limit the opening movement of the liquid fuel valve.
