[Class 75 (i)] In a gas-air mixing valve for the burners of gas cookers &c., in which gas issuing from a nozzle 22 draws in air through inlets 29 in a nozzle 28 adjustably screwed thereon, the gas cock 2 is provided with an axiallyadjustable screw spindle 7 fitted with a flanged mouthpiece 19 co-operating with the inner conical surface of the nozzle 22 for controlling gas supplied from an inlet 3 through the bores 25, 6 in the cock. As the cock is turned in one direction from the fully open position shown to the closed position, in which a pin 33 engages a stop 34, a passage 18 is opened to the inlet 3 to supply gas through an annular space 17 and the bores 16, 15 in the spindle 7 to the mouthpiece 19. When the cock is turned in the opposite direction to engage the pin 33 with an adjustable screw stop 35, gas is supplied to the mouthpiece only through a second passage 18<1>. The handle 9 is detachably connected to the cock 2 by a screw 10, a spring 12 tending to press a flange 13 against the head of the screw.
