Abstract

489,632. Liquid-fuel burners. ENTREPRISE GENERALE DE CHAUFFAGE INDUSTRIEL PILLARD FRERES & CIE. Jan. 29, 1937, No. 2611. Convention date, Feb. 8., 1936. [Class 75 (i)] Liquid fuel and a light fluid such as steam or air are supplied through tangential passages M, A, Fig. 2, arranged at right-angles to one another to a whirling chamber C provided with a spraying orifice. Combustion is controlled by varying the pressure difference between the liquid fuel and steam or air. Fig. 3 shows a burner in which light fluid and fuel are supplied to the whirling chamber C through tangential ports communicating with annular passages A, M<1>, and liquid fuel is supplied to retard the rotation in the whirling chamber through inclined passages P communicating with a chamber C<1> having a supply passage M2. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes arrangements of valves for controlling the supply pressures of the fuel and light fluid. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
