Abstract

206,246. Speare, W. A. Aug. 3, 1922. Spray burners; blowpipe burners.- A spray burner also usable as a gas burner comprises a simple casting 1 formed with a central bore to receive an adjustable oil delivery tube 13 and divided by a conduit 6 into a primary air chamber 3 and a secondary air chamber 2. Primary and secondary air inlets 10, 8 and an oil inlet 9 are provided on the casting 1. the tube 13 is threaded in a boss 11 on the casting and may be adjusted in relation to a removable nozzle 7 on the conduit 6 to regulate the primary air supply. The oil tube 13 is provided with radial inlet ports 17 and with an adjustable needle valve 18. The inlet 8 may be disposed tangentially in respect to the chamber 2.
