Abstract
417,343. Projectile fuzes. SCHWOB FRERES ET CIE SOC. ANON., La-Chaux-de- Fonds, Switzerland. April 26, 1933, No. 12212. Convention date, April 30, 1932. [Class 9 (i).] In clockwork fuzes driven by two oppositely moving racks, as described in Specification 265,588, [Class 9 (i)], the racks 13, 14 are made cylindrical to facilitate their machining, and are in direct engagement with a pinion on a central shaft 2 integral with the rotary disc 12 which releases the firing-hammer of the fuze. The racks have flat parts 16 guided by rollers 18. The mechanism is locked by an inertia bolt 19 until the shot is fired.
