413,889. Projectile fuzes. SCHWOB FRERES ET CIE SOC. ANON., 134, Rue Numa-Droz, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. Sept. 6, 1933, No. 24710. Convention date, Sept. 10, 1932. [Class 9 (i).] The timing ring 5, 6 of a mechanical fuze, for example a clockwork fuze wound and set by the rotation of a key 2, is provided with one or more centrifugal bolts or levers 8 adapted, when the projectile is discharged, to move out against springs 12 and engage one or more teeth 10 on the fuze-body 11, thereby to lock the ring against rotation. When several centrifugal members are used, the corresponding set of teeth on the fuze-body are slightly staggered to ensure that at least one centrifugal member will immediately engage its corresponding set of teeth.
