Abstract

413,182. Electric battery lamps. BICHEL, H. C. D., 1, Christiansborggade, Copenhagen. Nov. 21, 1933, No. 32538. [Class 39 (ii).] In an electric battery lamp adapted for use as a bicycle lamp, of the kind wherein the bulb is carried by a movable enclosure to make or break contact with an upstanding terminal of the battery, the case 1 of the lamp is provided with a lateral opening 15 within which a glass cylinder 9 is mounted on a resilient disc 13 supported by a plate 6 carrying the bulb socket 4, a screw cap 7 with an axial stud 71 bearing on a metal plate 12 resting on the top of the glass cylinder being provided to depress the plate 6 to bring the terminal 8 of the battery 2 into contact with a rod 14 which is carried by the socket 4 and is in contact with the central terminal of the bulb. The plate 6 is depressed against the pressure of a helical spring 3 which breaks the contact when the cap 7 is unscrewed. Means are provided for attaching the lamp to a bicycle.
