Multiple-filament lamps; caps.-Relates to an electric incandescent lamp having a central spring-controlled contact a and a double filament, one portion of which is normally in circuit with the central contact through a terminal g and the spring c, whereas the other portion is switched into circuit by screwing the lamp into its socket. According to the invention, the central stud a is made hollow, and is provided with a split socket q adapted to fit with light friction on the terminal d of the controlled filament when the lamp is screwed in; a spring r bearing against the head s of the socket and against a supporting plate t ensures quick separation of the contacts when the lamp is unscrewed.
