Abstract

404,620. Supply meters. FERRANTI, V. Z. DE, and FERRANTI, Ltd., Hollinwood, Lancashire. July 7, 1932, No. 19280. [Class 37.] Laminated magnet cores, especially for meter magnets, comprise one or more laminations of resilient material, such as phosphor bronze, deformed slightly before assembly so as to subject the remaining laminations to a constant pressure. Figs. 3 and 4 show such a lamination for use in the three-limbed meter-magnet shown in Fig. 1. The body of the lamination is bowed as shown at a and the portions which come opposite the clamps h, i are bent as shown at d, e, f, g to produce additional spring action.
