Abstract
637,617. Electromagnetic relays. GUARDIAN ELECTRIC MANUFACTURING CO. Feb. 20, 1948, No. 5053. Convention date, April 5, 1939. [Class 38 (v)] The armature 20 of a relay has a brass or other non-magnetic extension 22 which passes through an aperture in the leg 12 of a field-piece and pivots about it. Preferably the lower edge of the aperture is curved as at 12c so that the armature can rock sideways so as to align itself with the 'pole-piece 15. A non-magnetic piece 25 limits upward movement of the armature and an insulating panel 28 with an aperture or apertures 29 serves to operate contact springs. A shading ring 17 is provided for A.C. relays.
