Abstract
637,616. Electromagnetic relays. GUARDIAN ELECTRIC MANUFACTURING CO. Feb. 18, 1948, No. 4755. Convention date, Oct. 13, 1941. [Class 38 (v)] In a relay having a coil 14 on a core 15, and an armature 20 pivoted to the leg 12 of a U-shaped field-piece, the position of the leg 12 in relation to the core 15 is maintained by means of a non- magnetic panel 40 provided with openings 43, and 41, 42 which fit snugly over the upper ends of the core and legs 11, 12. The upper end of the core is then deformed as at 45 to secure the panel in position and the upper end of the leg 12 bent over to form a stop for the armature. Copper slugs 17 give a delayed action.
