Abstract
545,442. Electromagnetic interrupters. OAK MANUFACTURING CO. July 29, 1940, No. 12279. Convention date, July 29, 1939. [Class 38 (v)] In an electromagnetic vibrator which may be used for transforming low-voltage direct current into direct or alternating high-voltage current, an electromagnet 15 is adapted to attract an armature 40 on a reed 42 shaped as in Fig. 4, the reed being clamped at its lower end 21 and having an auxiliary reed or tongue 53 extending away from the armature and carrying the movable interrupter ' contact 54 which periodically breaks the circuit of the magnet 15 after the magnet has attracted the armature. The reed also carries 'power' contacts 50 adapted to engage contacts 51. Specification 460,470 is referred to.
