Abstract

507,127. Watches. MARTI, F. Aug. 9, 1938, No. 23512. [Class 139] A watertight watch case comprises at least two parts, one part being the back 24, with an elastic packing, e.g. synthetic resin 34 disposed therebetween, and is characterized by a spring leaf 29 the middle portion of which is applied against the outer face of the back while the elongated ends 30, 31 are bent up and fixed to the other part 25 of the case so that the packing is firmly pressed between the parts over the whole circumference. In a modification, the ends 30, 31, are disposed between the parts 25 and 27 and are fixed to the latter, an outer cover being applied at the back of the watch. In a further modification, the packing 34 is disposed in a recess in the part 25.
