Convention date, Jan. 2, 1931. [Class 38 (iv).] In a system in which the speed of a motor 1 is maintained constant by causing it to drive a tachometer generator 16 supplying the operating winding 14 of a vibratory regulator which controls a booster 7 in the field circuit of a Ward-Leonard generator 5 supplying the motor I, the effect of a variation of voltage of the supply 4, which provides the excitation of the generator 16 is compensated for by providing an opposing winding 15 on the regulator and energizing this winding from the supply 4. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 14345/10, [Class 38 (iv), Electric supply and transmission systems &c.], 209,850, 221,887, and 304,212, [all in Class 38 (iii), Electric motor control systems &c.].
