Abstract
285,482. Siemens - Schuckertwerke Akt.-Ges., (Assignees of Siemens-Schuckertwerke Ges.). Feb. 19, 1927, [Convention date]. Regulation, automatic.-For automatically regulating the speed of an electric motor or the voltage of a generator, the machine 1, shown as a motor regulated for speed, drives a tachometer dynamo 9 connected through an opposing battery 10, to the grid of a thermionic valve 8, which ultimately varies the grid voltage of a valve 5 controlling the current supplied by an exciter 3 to the field-winding 2 of the machine 1. The anode voltage of the valves 7, 8 may, as shown in the Figure, be derived from the tachometer dynamo, or alternatively from the battery 10.
