[Class 64 (i).] A liquid heater for use in a heating system for automobiles, aircraft, and similar vehicles comprises a tube B wound over apertures z in the exhaust pipe C of the motor, the tube being loosely held between clamps J connected by bolts K and surrounded by a gas-tight jacket A. A pipe E is provided to byepass the exhaust gases round the water heater when a valve D in pipe C is closed.
