Cylinders, pipes for.-A starting-device, which may be used to admit auxiliary air after starting, consists of a tube a containing cotton wool or the like and having a nozzle b for fixing directly to the induction pipe and an inlet d fitted with a cap or valve. The inlet d may be controlled by means of a rotatable cap e having an aperture h, or a butterfly or lift valve within the tube may be connected to control levers.
