Vaporizers, external.-The air-admission conduit 7 to a carburettor 8 is traversed by an exhaust pipe 9 provided with inner longitudinal, and outer transverse, heat-conducting fins. 10. The pipe 9 is open to the atmosphere at the outer end and is supplied with exhaust gases through a pipe 5 connected to a pipe 3 branched from the exhaust pipe 2. A plate 12 provided with a restricted orifice is secured at the junction of the pipes 3, 5, and a throttle valve is mounted in the pipe 5.
