[Class 7 (ii)] [See also Group XXXI] The exhaust of a motor-vehicle engine is conveyed by an extension pipe C to the top of the vehicle where it is dispersed through perforations in the top and sides of the pipe, which extends horizontally across the roof, and has a closed end. The pipe may be connected to the existing exhaust pipe A by a cone B through which air is induced to mix with and purify, the exhaust. The cone may, alternatively, be arranged round ports in the pipe.
