Abstract

552,188. Cooling radiators for motor vehicles. AUSTIN MOTOR CO., Ltd., and HAEFELI, J. C. Dec. 10, 1941, No. 15920. [Class 64 (iii)] To prevent freezing of the cooling liquid, exhaust gases are led through tubes F in the bottom of the radiator or in a chamber connected therewith. The flow of exhaust gases to the tubes is controlled by a flap valve K closing either the inlet to a pipe H conducting the gases to the tubes or the inlet to the usual exhaust pipe g<3>.
