Abstract

474,373. Spray carburetters. FILTER, W. April 29, 1936, No. 12116. Convention date, April 29, 1935. [Class 7 (iii)] Cold air, traversing a casing c from an inlet b, surrounds an inlet pipe d for warm air, and a pair of flap valves f, g, having a substantially stream line shape when closed, control the entrance of the warm air. Preferably the warm and cold air supplies are drawn from sources at the same pressure such as the inside of the engine casing and the valves are arranged to direct the warm air on to the parts of the carburetter most liable to ice formation.
