Abstract
370,175. Fuel-injection pu m p s . SULZER FRERES SOC. ANON., Winterthur, Switzerland. March 25, 1931, No. 9104. Convention date, April 10, 1930. [Class 102 (i).] In a fuel-injection pump, in which part of the pump delivery is returned to the suction passage 5 by holding open the suction valve or a bye-pass valve 15, the valve is operated by a cam track 13, designed to give the correct fuel-injection at all loads. The cam is integral with a lever 9, operated by the pump plunger, and oscillating on a pivot 18 carried by an adjustable crank 17. A lever 12, adjustable by the governor and carrying a roller 10 engaging the cam 13, is interposed between the cam and the valve spindle.
