Abstract

295,695. Motorenfabrik Deutz Akt.- Ges. Aug. 17, 1927, [Convention date]. Auxiliary actuating-gear.-To facilitate starting, the initial strokes of a fuel pump are caused to take place at a higher velocity than the running strokes. The engine flywheel d is provided with a stop e which at starting is moved by hand into position to engage a lever h bearing on the slotted end k of the plunger of the fuel pump b. When the stop e is moved to the inoperative position, the pump plunger is operated in the usual manner by the cam c acting through the lever n.
