[Class 7 (iii)] A fuel-injection valve b is opened by the fuel pressure admitted at f against the action of a closing-spring d when the fuel pressure is low, as at starting; but when the fuel pressure exceeds a predetermined amount, it opens an auxiliary valve and acts through a passage i on the rear end of a plunger g bearing on the spring, thereby increasing the spring pressure tending to close the valve. The action of the pressure transmitted through the plunger g is limited by the engagement of a ftange m with a stop n.
