Abstract

1,235,501. Fuel Injectors. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. Aug. 8, 1968 [Aug. 9, 1967], No. 37785/68. Heading F1B. Fuel supplied at 10 Fig. 1 first forces down a piston 13 to produce a pre-injection, a valve 22 in the main fuel injection passage opening upon a rise in fuel supply pressure after the piston 12 abuts a stop 16. A valve 18 closes a passage 17 in the piston 13 during the pre-injection stroke and opens to facilitate return of the piston 13. In Fig. 2 valve 18 is omitted and the space 12 is connected by a passage 26 to the spring chamber 4 connected to the low pressure feed supply. Passage 26 is closed at the beginning of the stroke of piston 13.
