Abstract

1447065 Fuel injectors ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 24 Aug 1973 [29 Aug 1972] 40161/73 Heading FIB A fuel injection nozzle providing pre- and main injectors comprises a spring-closed valve needle 2 which is opened by fuel pressure and is further loaded after the pre-injection stroke by fuel pressure communicated to the spring side of the needle by way of a displacement piston 5, the effective surface area of the displacement piston being smaller than the effective surface area of the valve needle to which the opening pressure is applied.
