Abstract

1391330 I C engine fuel injectors MASCHINENFABRIK AUGSBURG-NURNBERG AG 2 June 1972 [3 June 1971] 25991/72 Heading F1B The fuel chamber 24 defined between the needle valve 14 and the body 9 communicates with the interior of the fuel inlet sleeve 19 through a sleeve 16 projecting into the needle valve and in abutment with the inlet sleeve at an end face 26. A spring 17 acting between the valve 14 and sleeve 16 urges the valve to close the body outlet 11 against the fuel pressure in chamber 24 and the sleeve 16 into abutment with the face 26. Ducts 12 for receiving coolant are defined between the injector holder 2 and the body 9. An insulating space 28 to reduce heat loss from the fuel in the sleeve 19 is defined by a shell 29 sealed at both ends.
