Abstract

1433513 Injection nozzles ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 17 July 1973 [18 July 1972] 33877/73 Heading F1B A fuel injection nozzle for I.C. engines comprises a valve needle 2 to control pre-injection and main injection flows of fuel from a pressure chamber 5 to which fuel is fed via a throttle 18 for pre-injection and via a channel 17 containing a valve 19 in parallel with the throttle 18, which is opened by the opening action of the valve needle 2 for the main injection. The pressure of fuel supplied to chamber 5 via throttle 18 raises valve needle 2 which allows a pre-injection fuel flow through opening 4 and by acting on stem 21 of valve 19 opens the latter to allow a main injection flow to reach opening 4 via passage 17. Channel 23 is provided to remove fuel that leaks past valve needle 2 or stem 21.
