Abstract

369,827. Gas burners. SELASAKT.- GES., 10, Mullerstrasse, Berlin. July 3, 1931, No. 19252. Convention date, Oct. 24, 1930. [Class 75 (i).] A pressure gas burner, such as is used for soldering purposes, comprises a conduit 1 discharging through a nozzle 6 into a tapered body or mixing chamber 7 fitted with a grooved divergent mouthpiece 10. The edges of the grooves 11 in the mouthpiece 10 reduce the speed of the surface particles of the stream of gas and air to below the ignition velocity without substantially affecting the velocity of the main portion of the stream. The admission of air to the conical end of the chamber 7.is regulated by a conical cover 8 which is threaded on the nozzle head 5 and may be locked in position when adjusted by a nut 9.
