Abstract

536,224. Spray burners. FRASER, R. P. Oct. 5, 1939, No. 27268. [Class 75 (i)] In a spray burner the oil, after passing through tangential slots 7 in a filter 3 emerges from the head 10 as a whirling cone and is met at some distance from the point of issue by a whirling converging stream of air or other gas issuing from an annular chamber 16 in the burner through a conical gap 17. The air enters the chamber 16 by tangential holes 15. The size of the gap 17 may be adjusted by means of shims 19 or by hand wheels 25. Specifications 405,308 and 484,602 are referred to.
