Abstract
361,436. Oil engines. KUNTZ, J. E., 24, Rue du GÚnÚral GalliÞni-Viroflay, Seineet-Oise, France. Aug. 26, 1930, No. 25464. Convention date, Aug. 26, 1929. [Class 7 (iii).] A combustion chamber of truncated conical shape is formed within a vaporizing member J which is heat-insulated from the cylinder by a washer L clamped between a shoulder formed by a recess in the bore and a screwed flange Q on the member J. The fuel nozzle N may be surrounded by a toric form of agitating chamber I. A projection B on the piston G enters the end of the combustion chamber at the end of the compression stroke, air being forced through inclined radial ducts D to a central orifice C in the projection ; an enlargement E<1> formed at the upper end of the projection restricts direct communication between the cylinder and combustion space as the projection enters the latter.
