359,837. Drawing apparatus for medium and long staple fibres. S€CHSISCHE TEXTILMASCHINEN - FABRIK VORM. R. HARTMANN AKT.-GES., 24, Hartmannstrasse, Chemnitz, Germany. Feb. 10, 1931, No. 4184. Convention date, Feb. 20, 1930. [Class 120 (ii).] In drawing - apparatus for medium and long staple material more particularly combed wool, schappe silk, artificial silk, ramie, and the like, having endless conveyer bands passing over slide rollers between the feed and delivery rollers, the slide rollers el, f<1>, e<2>, f<2> and other rigid guiding or supporting means are so arranged that at no part of the conveyer bands are two rigid bodies opposed to each other. The front roller f<1> of the top band is preferably arranged in rear of the front roller f<2> of the lower band so that a large top delivery roller may be used. The frame i of the top band is pivotally mounted so that it may be raised to facilitate cleaning, and comprises struts adjustably secured together whereby the tension of the band may be adjusted, or the front roller may be spring- controlled so that the tension is automatically adjusted. The lower band passes over a vertically adjustable, convex plate d, and is tensioned by a jockey roller g.
