Abstract
339,553. Maschinenfabrik a./d. Sihl Akt.-Ges. vorm. A. Schmid. Jan. 14, 1930, [Convention date]. Starting, facilitating; centrifugal pumps combined with electors.-To facilitate the starting of a centrifugal pump the pressure conduit 6 is connected with the suction port ls by one or more ejectors I acting in the same direction as the pump and the suction conduit 12 of the pump is connected to the suction chamber of the ejector I by a bent pipe 13 extending above the pump. As shown in the Figure an air separator 3 and an ejector II may be arranged in the conduit 6 between the pump and the branch circuit of the ejector. Alternatively the air separator may be replaced by a venting valve. The conduit 6 is provided with a non-return valve 7.
