Abstract
323,647. Saward Bros., Ltd., and Saward, A. H. Jan. 9, 1929. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Folding vehicles.-The body framework 1 of a baby-carriage is mounted on the upper ends of two sets of parallel links 3, 4 which are pivoted to an undercarriage 7, the front parrallel links 4 having lower extensions connected by links 12 to folding stays 13, 13<1>, the lower and upper members of which are respectively pivotally connected to the undercarriage 7 and a U-shaped handle 8. The rear parallel links 3 support a frame, 17 forming a foot-rest or an extension of the body and this frame can be held in two positions by means of a pivoted strut 20 engaging in either pair of notches 21, 22. To collapse the carriage, the stays 13, 13<1> are slightly folded and the handle 8 is moved forwards over the body.
