Abstract
256,391. Tutcher, B. W., and Mallard, R. July 27, 1925. Folding vehicles.-In folding perambulators or push-chairs, the frame is connected to and adapted to be folded or extended by the operation of the handle, which is slidable, and the frame is arranged to be locked at will in either its open or closed position. The handle, which is telescopic, comprises a lower section E, preferably laminated, hinged at F to the rear wheels and carrying a boss C in which the section B of the handle may slide. The frame G is pivoted as shown to the rear wheels, to the legs H of the front wheels, and to the seat-frame N at K. The legs H are provided at their upper ends with apertures for engagement with studs on the seat frame N to lock the push-chair in the extended position. The handle section B is connected pivotally with the seat frame N by members D, M so that, on releasing the legs H, the frame of the push-chair may be folded by sliding the handle section B. A spring clip L is provided to lock the push-chair in its closed position.
