Abstract
289,361. Taylor, A. E. Dec. 13, 1927. Folding vehicles.-A folding baby carriage comprises sides 5, 6, a back rest 52 folding concertina fashion a divided seat 17, 18 hinged at 16 to the respective sides 5, 6 and connected centrally by a hinge 20 and normally held in position by a gate 25, 26 hinged to the wheels uprights 30 and also centrally hinged at 32 and normally held in position by a hookshaped portion 23<a> on the hinges 16. The parts of the seat are hinged to a bar 19 of the handle 33 which is bifurcated as shown and secured to the bar by a friction grip 34. When the carriage body is folded the handle is adapted to be folded back to embrace the sides and is locked thereto by means of a spring catch 37 engaging in notches.
