Abstract

Folding vehicles.-A perambulator comprises an underframe, a relatively movable upper frame and a fabric covering between the frames, forward and rearwood toggle links connecting the frames, linkage connecting the toggle links and a handle pivoted to the underframe in such a manner that pivotal movement of the handle is adapted to collapse the toggle links inwardly and displace the upper frame in parallelism to the lower frame. As shown in Fig. 2, the upper frame c is connected to the lower frame or shallow box a by two pairs of toggle links d and a handle b is pivoted to the frame a at b<1> coincident with the pivot of the rear links. The handle is connected to one of the links d which are interconnected at each side of the vehicle by a connecting link so that when the handle b is folded down the toggle links d are folded inwardly and the upper frame is collapsed on to the lower frame. Another arrangement of interconnecting links and levers is described.
